What areas of the south and southwest Chicago suburbs do you serve?

We cover the southern and southwestern portion of the Chicago metro including Orland Park, Tinley Park, Frankfort, Mokena, Homer Glen, Palos Heights, Palos Park, Burr Ridge, Hinsdale, Western Springs, La Grange, Lemont, Lockport, and southern Naperville. That spans southern Cook County, Will County, and the southern part of DuPage County. We do not serve the city of Chicago itself or the north shore. How does Chicago winter affect a professional lighting installation?

Cold wind off Lake Michigan, heavy snow loads, and mid-winter ice storms are the three things we plan around. We install the bulk of our jobs October through early December before the worst weather arrives. Every clip, wire, and bulb we use is commercial grade and rated for snow and ice. If a storm knocks something loose during the season, our in-season service calls cover it at no charge.

What do you do during an ice storm that cheap installers skip?

Two things. First, we use clip systems that grip the fascia or roof edge under load instead of staples or hot glue that pop off under ice weight. Second, we run a proactive sweep after major weather events. If we get a serious ice storm in your area, our crew is on the road the next morning checking client properties without waiting for a call. Cheap installers disappear after install day. We do not.

Can you program permanent lighting in Bears blue, Cubs blue, or White Sox black and silver?

Yes. Permanent LED lighting is fully programmable from a smartphone app. You can run Bears navy and orange on game day, Cubs blue and red through the season, White Sox black and silver, or Blackhawks red and white whenever you want. Most clients use warm white as their daily setting and switch into team colors for game days, holidays, or family events. It is one of the most popular reasons people in the south suburbs choose permanent over seasonal.

How is the south and southwest different from the north shore for lighting?

Property scale and architecture. The north shore has a lot of older, tight-lot urban housing stock and east-facing lake exposure. The south and southwest have larger lots, more new construction, longer rooflines, and wider visibility from the street. That means we design for distance and scale on this side. Outlines need to read clearly from forty or fifty feet back, tree wraps need to anchor the lot, and commercial properties along I-355 and I-80 need to be visible from the highway. It is a different design challenge and we know it.

Do you work with commercial properties and HOAs?

Commercial work is a major part of what we do. The I-355 and I-80 corridors are loaded with corporate parks, retail centers, and multi-tenant buildings that benefit from professional lighting. We run annual contracts for retail centers, office parks, restaurants, HOAs, and municipal properties. One contact, one schedule, one bill. Property managers love it because they stop chasing lighting in November.

What is permanent LED lighting?

It is a thin LED channel installed once along your roofline, eaves, soffits, or other architectural features. It is designed to disappear during the day. You control it from a smartphone app, so you can run warm white nightly, navy and orange for the Bears, red and blue for the Fourth of July, full holiday programs in November and December, and anything else you want. Installed once, used 365 days a year. Typical life is 10 to 15 years on commercial grade hardware.

When is the right time to install permanent lighting in the Chicago area?

Dry, mild weather is best, so we book most permanent installs from April through September. We can install later in the year but cold and snow slow the work down. If you want it ready for the holidays, get on the calendar by early September.

When should I book my holiday install?

Sooner the better. Mid October through Thanksgiving fills first, and once snow starts the install window narrows fast. We recommend booking by Labor Day for guaranteed pre-Thanksgiving install. After that we do our best but cannot promise specific dates.

When do you take holiday lights down?

We start takedowns in early January and finish through February depending on weather. You do not need to be home. Our crew handles everything, stores your lights at our facility, and locks in your reinstall date for next season before they leave the driveway.

Are your installers licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry full general liability and workers compensation. Every crew member is a W-2 employee trained in our installation systems. We do not sub out the climbing or the electrical work to day labor. That is how we keep our work consistent and how we stand behind it after install day.

Can your lights handle suburban estate properties with complicated rooflines?

Yes. The estate suburbs along the I-355 corridor (Hinsdale, Burr Ridge, Western Springs) have some of the most complicated rooflines we work on. Multiple pitches, dormers, turrets, slate, copper, and historic trim are all common. We design for that. Our installers map the property before quoting and we use clip systems specific to slate, copper, and cedar shake when needed.
