Serving Chicago's South & Southwest Suburbs
South Chicago Lighting Partners designs and installs holiday lighting and permanent LED systems across the south and southwest Chicago suburbs - from Hinsdale and Burr Ridge through Orland Park and Tinley Park, out to Frankfort, Mokena, and southern Naperville.
One Standard of Work Across the South Suburbs
We are a locally operated franchise serving Chicago's south and southwest suburbs with the backing of the national Lighting Partners network. That means local crews who know the estate rooflines in Hinsdale, the prairie wind in Frankfort and Mokena, the new-construction lots in Homer Glen, and the I-355 and I-80 commercial corridors - paired with the supply chain and engineering of an established brand.
Every community we serve gets the same commercial-grade, wind-and-ice-rated fixtures, the same non-penetrating roof-safe mounting, and the same clean January takedown. Whether you are on a slate-roof estate in Burr Ridge, a large-lot build in Frankfort, or a corporate campus off I-355, the standard does not change.

Communities We Serve
Organized by region so you can find your community. Each part of the south and southwest suburbs has its own architecture, lot scale, and climate timing - our crews know all of them.
Estate Towns: Hinsdale, Burr Ridge & Western Springs
Central & Western DuPage / Cook County
The I-355 estate corridor carries some of the most architecturally complex lighting work in the Chicago metro. Slate roofs, historic fascia, copper gutters, Tudors from the 1920s, and deep setbacks that demand designs scaled for distance. Our crews use clip systems rated for each material type - no penetrations, no staining on original surfaces.
Hinsdale
Estate homes, original fascia and slate. Non-penetrating clip systems. Deep setback designs that read from the road.
Burr Ridge
I-355 corporate park corridor. Annual commercial contracts, multi-building programs.
Western Springs
Historic Tudors and original trim from the 1910s-1930s. Cedar shake, copper, and slate all handled.
Oak Brook
Corporate campus and estate residential. Luxury builds and Clearwater subdivision lighting.
Clarendon Hills
Established residential. Good transit access. Holiday and permanent residential programs.
La Grange
Walkable downtown corridor and residential. Commercial storefront lighting for the La Grange Road strip.
Orland Park, Tinley Park & the I-80 Corridor
Southern Cook County Anchor
The I-80 and 159th Street corridors are the commercial heart of the south suburbs. Major retail centers, restaurant districts, office parks, and large-lot residential all running parallel to I-80 through Orland Park and Tinley Park. Our base market. Crews are local.
Orland Park
Our anchor market. Large-lot residential, Orland Square area retail, and growing restaurant corridor.
Tinley Park
159th Street retail and residential. Corporate parks off I-80. Family neighborhoods with strong holiday lighting tradition.
Palos Heights
Established residential. Tree-lined streets. Holiday roofline and tree wrap programs.
Palos Park
Large lots, mature trees, quiet streets. Premium residential installs designed for deep setbacks.
Orland Hills
Residential and retail. Adjacent to Orland Park commercial corridor.
Crestwood
Commercial corridor and residential. Holiday lighting for Cicero Avenue properties.
Frankfort, Mokena & the Will County Suburbs
Will County Growth Corridor
Will County's residential growth over the last 15 years has created a belt of well-off, large-lot communities between I-80 and I-55. Prairie winds cut across open subdivisions here - we design for it. Our clips handle the wind load. Our in-season response covers the ice events.
Frankfort
Large lots, new construction, mature evergreens. Designs built for street visibility on deep setbacks.
Mokena
Hilltop and open-field subdivisions. Wind-resistant commercial-grade clip systems standard.
Homer Glen
New construction with long rooflines. Great for permanent LED permanent channel systems.
New Lenox
Family residential. Growing commercial corridor on Cedar Road.
Lockport
Historic downtown along the canal and residential. Commercial lighting for downtown businesses.
Plainfield
Growing suburb, large-lot new construction. Permanent LED demand is strong here.
Lemont, Naperville South & DuPage
Southern DuPage & SW Cook
Southern Naperville and Lemont are among the most affluent zip codes in the Chicago metro. Executive homes, custom builds, and river-valley estates. Naperville's commercial corridors along Ogden and Route 59 carry year-round lighting demand for professional office parks and retail.
Lemont
River-valley estates and established residential. Cedar shake and natural stone exteriors common.
Naperville (South)
Executive homes and corporate campuses. Ogden and Route 59 commercial lighting programs.
Bolingbrook
I-55 corridor commercial. Large retail properties with highway visibility.
Romeoville
I-55 industrial and commercial. Growing residential base.
Woodridge
Corporate campus corridor. Family residential. Annual commercial lighting programs.
Darien
Established residential. I-355 commercial access. Holiday and permanent residential.
South Suburban Install & Service Calendar
Chicago's south and southwest suburbs run on a weather-driven calendar. Here is how the season works and when to book.
Booking window
Scheduling opens mid-summer. Book by Labor Day for guaranteed pre-Thanksgiving install. October slots fill fast in Orland Park, Hinsdale, and Burr Ridge.
Holiday install season
Nine working weeks. We install ahead of the first ice event, working through cold weather with proper equipment and commercial-grade clips rated for freeze-thaw cycles.
In-season service
Ice storms and polar vortex weeks hit the south suburbs every winter. Our crews sweep client properties the morning after major events - no charge.
Takedown & storage
We begin takedowns in early January and wrap by mid-February as roofs clear. Lights go to our facility, labeled per property, ready for next season.
Zip Codes We Cover
Primary zip codes within our south and southwest suburban coverage. Adjacent zips are usually serviceable - reach out to confirm.
Local Climate and Install Notes
Chicago winters hit the south and southwest suburbs hard. Cold winds off Lake Michigan rake across open prairie and farmland. December through February typically brings heavy snow and ice storms that load down rooflines and gutters. We install October through early December and run takedown crews January through February.
Service Area FAQs
- We cover the southern and southwestern portion of the Chicago metro including Orland Park, Tinley Park, Frankfort, Mokena, Homer Glen, Palos Heights, Palos Park, Burr Ridge, Hinsdale, Western Springs, La Grange, Lemont, Lockport, and southern Naperville. That spans southern Cook County, Will County, and the southern part of DuPage County. We do not serve the city of Chicago itself or the north shore. If you are not sure your zip is in our area, call us and we will check.
- Cold wind off Lake Michigan, heavy snow loads, and mid-winter ice storms are the three things we plan around. We install the bulk of our jobs October through early December before the worst weather arrives. Every clip, wire, and bulb we use is commercial grade and rated for snow and ice. If a storm knocks something loose during the season, our in-season service calls cover it at no charge.
- Two things. First, we use clip systems that grip the fascia or roof edge under load instead of staples or hot glue that pop off under ice weight. Second, we run a proactive sweep after major weather events. If we get a serious ice storm in your area, our crew is on the road the next morning checking client properties without waiting for a call. Cheap installers disappear after install day. We do not.
- Property scale and architecture. The north shore has a lot of older, tight-lot urban housing stock and east-facing lake exposure. The south and southwest have larger lots, more new construction, longer rooflines, and wider visibility from the street. That means we design for distance and scale on this side. Outlines need to read clearly from forty or fifty feet back, tree wraps need to anchor the lot, and commercial properties along I-355 and I-80 need to be visible from the highway. It is a different design challenge and we know it.
- Dry, mild weather is best, so we book most permanent installs from April through September. We can install later in the year but cold and snow slow the work down. If you want it ready for the holidays, get on the calendar by early September.
- Sooner the better. Mid October through Thanksgiving fills first, and once snow starts the install window narrows fast. We recommend booking by Labor Day for guaranteed pre-Thanksgiving install. After that we do our best but cannot promise specific dates.
- Yes. We carry full general liability and workers compensation. Every crew member is a W-2 employee trained in our installation systems. We do not sub out the climbing or the electrical work to day labor. That is how we keep our work consistent and how we stand behind it after install day.
Not Sure If We Cover Your Area?
